Etten-Leur, the Netherlands, 31 October 2003- Confectionery manufacturers Gebroeders Van Rooij b.v. has chosen Schouw Informatisering as IT partner for the replacement of the current administration software. Schouw Informatisering uses Microsoft Dynamics® NAV as the basis to combine with SI Foodware®, high-quality sector specific solutions, specially developed by Schouw Informatisering.
Tracking & tracing
Confectionery manufacturers Gebroeders Van Rooij b.v. specialises in puff pastry products which meet the highest quality requirements. Van Rooij markets products under its own name and for various different private labels. Bearing in mind the fact that traceability will be compulsory in 2005, Van Rooij decided to replace its current administrative software with a fully integrated system in which Tracking and Tracing can be implemented at the level required by Van Rooij.
Live in January 2004
Besides the implementation of the compulsory traceability Van Rooij wants to use this IT project to improve the provision of information within the organisation as well as realising cost reductions and improvements in the manufacturing processes. Van Rooij expects to be able to go live with the new system in January 2004.
