Nature´s Pride
Etten-Leur, 06-06-2011 - Quite some attendants filled up the spacious boardroom at Nature’s Pride in Maasdijk on Monday the 30th of May. All key users of this international Fruit & Vegetable distributor gathered for the kick-off session of a very ambitious ERP project. Nature’s Pride aims to go live with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Schouw Informatisering’s food industry specific add-on SI Foodware on October 31. "Ambitious, but realistic" according to CEO Shawn Harris of Nature’s Pride: "we are up to the task, because our employees are disciplined and very motivated".
Nature’s Pride is working with a different solution at the moment, but this system has reached its limit for the expanding size of Natures Pride business throughout the years. Shawn Harris: ‘At this moment we import and sell over 300 products. That is why we really need a more mature ERP solution". After a long course of selection, Nature’s Pride choose Schouw Informatisering as their new ERP partner. ‘They offer a total standard solution’ according to Shawn Harris. She continuous: "We believe that they are one of the few partners in the Netherlands, who have the capacity, experience and expertise to deploy such a vast project within time".
Schouw Informatisering offers food industry oriented ERP solutions that are based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AX. They complement this strong flexible base with an in-house developed add-on called SI Foodware which tackles all specific demands for the food industry. Specific functionality that SI Foodware offers for the Fruit & Vegetable niche includes Container Management, Consignment Management, Voice Picking, Tracking & Tracing and EDI.
At Nature’s Pride they especially look forward to working with EDI. Shawn Harris: "We still import too much data by hand. EDI is going to safe us so much time." This functionality also suits with Nature’s Pride ecological objectives: "We strive to minimalize our paper flow and hopefully make the use of paper redundant in the near future".
