Nautilus (cooperation of organic producers) awards contract to Schouw Informatisering

Etten-Leur, 23 April 2004 - Following an extensive preliminary study, Nautilus (a cooperation of organic producers) has chosen Schouw Informatisering as partner for the automation of the current business processes. One of the criteria was that the solution should be flexible, now and in the future, to adapt to future developments. Schouw Informatisering uses Microsoft DynamicsTM NAV as the basis to combine with SI Foodware®, high-quality Fruit & Vegetable solutions developed by Schouw Informatisering.

Reduce pressure of administration
The most important objective of the project is to reduce the pressure of administration, so that employees have more time for the other aspects of their job. This will be realised by using an integrated solution in which the specific business processes, such as pool settlement and the registration of inventory at more than one location, are also included.

Live in June 2004
Dynamics NAV will be implemented in three phases. The first phase is expected to go live in June 2004. The first phase comprises the automation of purchasing, sales, inventory management, production and SI Foodware.

Nautilus
The Nautilus cooperation was founded in 1987 in Flevoland, the Netherlands and has developed into one of the leading cooperatives for biological arable farming and market gardening, and now has more than 118 members throughout the Netherlands. Nautilus takes care of the marketing and worldwide distribution of a wide range of organic and bio-dynamic cultivated products. All products meet the standards laid down in the European Rules and Regulations for organic methods of production and bear the quality mark awarded by EKO or Demeter.

Choice for Schouw
Nautilus has chosen Schouw Informatisering because Schouw is specialised in the development, implementation and maintenance of integrated company-wide software for the food industry. Within the Fruit & Vegetable sector Schouw has completed many successful implementations and has developed specific Fruit & Vegetable solutions which are seamlessly integrated with Dynamics NAV and the business processes of organisations in the Fruit & Vegetable sector.
