Successful launch Vergeer Kaas thanks to Schouw Informatisering
Etten-Leur, the 20th of September 2004 - On 18 September, Vergeer Kaas successfully went live with Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV, implemented by Schouw Informatisering. Vergeer Kaas offers round the clock cheese for all occasions. Vergeer selected Dynamics NAV and Schouw Informatisering because SI Foodware®, their integrated software solution covered all existing processes while having ample flexibility to accommodate future developments. Furthermore, the long-term continuity of this software solution is guaranteed.
An integrated software solution
"Actually, we were fairly happy with how all our computer systems ran", says Diederik Vergeer, deputy director of Vergeer Kaas. "But internal developments meant that additional systems were bought in separately. This combination was not entirely efficient, however, because of the difficulty of exchanging data completely among all these different systems. We wanted to start again from scratch, and I mean with everything. By selecting Dynamics NAV and Schouw Informatisering's SI Foodware, we have found an integrated software solution that is tailored precisely to our wishes and requirements. The new system has to provide continuity and be flexible enough to respond to the company's specific situation. We were also able to make several improvements with the new software solution. The most important points as far as we were concerned were the central recording of data, stock control and the management information on turnover, prices and margins", Diederik explains. Diederik continues: "We use Cognos, which acts as a shell around Dynamics NAV, for providing management information. Schouw Informatisering implemented a special link for Vergeer Kaas between the shop floor and the operators. The articles produced and the raw materials used can be linked to the machines. Moreover, the stock has been integrated and Tracking & Tracing has been implemented".
