Prochamp improves business operations with SI Foodware
Canning factory implements Schouw Informatisering’s ERP package
Etten-Leur, 15 December 2009 - Canning factory Prochamp has implemented SI Foodware®. With Schouw Informatisering’s solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics® NAV, Prochamp can now optimise its inventory management and information systems. Additionally, product traceability is significantly improved.
Prochamp processes about 30 million kilograms of mushrooms into canned products each year. In the past, they used software that was not specifically designed for their sector. Eventually, support was withdrawn and the functionality no longer met the organisation’s requirements.
Knowledge of the sector
Prochamp choose the solution from Schouw Informatisering, because Schouw has considerable knowledge and experience in the mushroom sector. One of Prochamp’s key functional requirements is that data should only have to be entered once. In their previous situation much of the data had to be entered multiple times.
Implementation benefits
The Dynamics NAV and SI Foodware implementation is now complete. Prochamp can already indicate a number of major benefits. First of all, the company has more insight into the inventory position. There is more information available about the business processes, while data doesn’t need to be entered so frequently anymore. Traceability is optimised with scanning. Furthermore, Prochamp now has unambiguous management information at its fingertips. Schouw Informatisering realised several custom modifications for this implementation, including an interface with a weighing terminal. Four months after the implementation project kick-off, Prochamp went live, almost without a hiccough.
