Distribution company selects integrated sector specific solution
Distribution company Ronald Vandeputte NV has signed a cooperation agreement with Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Strategic IT, the daughter company of Schouw Informatisering. They will implement Microsoft Dynamics® NAV combined with SI Foodware® to replace the current bespoke system. This integrated solution specifically designed for companies in the food and beverage sector will enable Ronald Vandeputte to work more efficiently and more flexibly.
Canned products and Italian delicacies
Ronald Vandeputte NV imports and exports a range of canned products and Italian delicacies for the industry and for food service companies. The distribution company located in Deurne, Belgium, supplies the large retailers at home and abroad. In this business it is important to have a clear and up-to-date overview of the status of purchase contracts as well as the stock Ronald Vandeputte holds. Furthermore it is vital to plan and monitor transport and the accompanying costs.
Choice for Strategic IT
Ronald Vandeputte was looking for an integrated software solution to replace the existing bespoke IT system. Integration with Microsoft Office, e-mail and the bookkeeping system were key criteria for selecting a suitable solution. One integrated system
Ronald Vandeputte wants to use the new information system to improve the administrative organisation within the company and thereby obtain accurate information so that the underlying business processes can be monitored and managed more efficiently. In a subsequent phase of the implementation, the company will look at how other aspects of the business can be optimised, such as an interface with the logistics partner, stock monitoring with shelf life controls, using telephone order lists and following up complaints. Another advantage for Ronald Vandeputte is that Strategic IT has been awarded the QFor Label. This recognition means that a Flemish government subsidy for strategic consulting can be applied for via the KMO portfolio.
Solution for long-term growth
Strategic IT and Microsoft are aware of changes in legislation and requirements imposed by clients; these will also affect Ronald Vandeputte. But because both solutions are being continually developed, Dynamics NAV and SI Foodware will continue to grow and keep abreast with changes in the market and legislation.
