Doens food signs contract for implementation of Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV and SI Fooware®:
‘Knowledge and experience of Schouw in food and beverage makes choice complete.'
Etten-Leur, October 2nd, 2007 - This week, the contracts have been signed at Doens Food Ingredients in IJzendijke, the Netherlands, for an implementation of Microsoft DynamicsTM NAV, combined with SI Foodware®. ‘The offered solution, combined with many years of knowledge and experience of Schouw Informatisering in the food and beverage industry makes our choice complete,' as said by Walter Doens, CEO at Doens Food. The licenses will be supplied by Schouw Informatisering and the implementation is handled by its Belgium subsidiary, Strategic IT.
Quality in the biological food and beverage branch
Doens Food originally started as a small regional trader in cereals but has been growing throughout the years to an enterprise in the biological food and beverage branch with international allure. With 25 employees, Doens Food imports and exports from and to a large number of countries. Doens is not just focusing on trade as the company also modifies products by roasting, mixing, grinding and polishing them. Doens Food guarantees quality which is exposed in the HACCP- and GMP-certificates. Besides, it has high educated personnel. The assortment of Doens Food is very wide and has more than 1000 items. Examples of products are organic spices, cereals, beans, nuts, citrus, lentils and many other products.
An integrated solution
The current solution at Doens Food does not satisfy the needs which are asked nowadays. ‘currently, the financial administration is handled by Exact which is replenished with Excel sheets. With this way of working, combined with the fast growth of the company, we were looking for an integrated solution. Schouw offers us this integrated solution. This is done by combining their standard solution SI Foodware with Dynamics NAV,' according to Walter Doens. ‘Schouw has convinced us based on their knowledge and experience in our specific industry. We have the experience that other software suppliers are not having this specific focus. Walter Doens says: ‘Schouw Informatisering showed us they really understand our market. The starting point of the project therefore is to shift all activities to SI Foodware.
Phased project
The implementation of Dynamics NAV and SI Foodware will be done in two phases, which ensures control over the project. The financial administration will go live on January 1st 2008.
