Growing success of Foodguru-portal inspires for more
Etten-Leur, January 3rd, 2008 - Capgemini, Microsoft and Schouw Informatisering have bundled their knowledge at the internet portal Foodguru (www.foodguru.eu). Foodguru is an online knowledge portal focusing on managers of Dutch food and beverage companies and working at ICT, logistics, quality/food safety, finance and production. Compared to last year, Foodguru offers a much wider offer of knowledge, also through the addition of Actemium as new partner.
What is Foodguru?
The Information at Foodguru is focussing towards managers from the food and beverage branch on a permissive base. The goal of the portal is to deliver information and inspiration which applies to actual topics in the own supply chain. Visitors will find branch specific information from several disciplines; from ICT to strategic level and from supply chain management to food safety. The portal is clearly not a news website, but is dealing with actual topics and is supplying you with in dept information through reports, whitepapers, and investigations on a mostly free base. Besides, visitors are able to read about the experiences of other food companies met specific topics.
New partner
The success of Foodguru has recently been strengthened through the addition of Actemium as a partner. Actemium, being a plant integrator, offers relevant knowledge towards food managers about the development, optimalisation and maintenance of industrial production processes and coordination. Actemium has gathered lots of valuable information of the food and beverage branch. Actemium is continuously focussing on actual developments of MES, OEE, Tracking&Tracing and Security. As a plant integrator, Actemium complements the information for food managers, so Foodguru can become an even completer knowledge portal.
Actual news
Based on the high visitor figures, downloads and subscribers to the newsletter, it becomes clear that all expectations have been too low. The partners of Foodguru are very dedicated towards their customers and are therefore actively developing services and solutions in order to cope with actual trends and developments, in order for the knowledge portal to stay relevant and actual. An example of this actualisation is the new header about outsourcing.
Continues additions and actualisation
Due to the fact that the expectations of the first year have been widely surpassed and the focus of the knowledge portal has become even wider, the partners of Foodguru will continuously supplement and actualise the portal. Food managers are able to stay informed about the latest news by subscribing to the Foodguru newsletter at www.foodguru.eu.
